Thank you for help when my dog died

Dear Sir, — On Thursday, my beautiful border collie Skye suffered a heart attack while swimming in the lake at the Biddulph Grange Country Park, and tragically died aged just four years six months.
I was, and still am, devastated by this sudden loss.
However, I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks to the people of Biddulph Moor and the regular dog walkers at the country park for the help they gave me and the love and affection shown to me since, with messages of sympathy and many offers of heart to heart chats over coffee.
I want them to know how grateful I am for the care and compassion they have shown to help me through this deeply emotional time. Thank you. — Yours faithfully,
Biddulph Moor.
