Thanks for buying Christmas puds
Dear Sir, — Through the letters page of the Chronicle, I would like to say a big thank you to the residents of Congleton and the staff of Crema (who kindly put these items for sale on their counter) for purchasing the Cadbury cream egg Easter chicks, and Terry’s Chocolate Orange Christmas puddings I made for charity in 2019.
With the help of the residents of Congleton and The Big Give, the total donation of £1,350 was doubled and, including Gift Aid, Unseen the charity for modern slavery, and Safe Houses received £3,037.50.
As the window for this was the first half of December, more Christmas puddings were sold and on Wednesday, 8th January, I gave Cheshire Hospice £100 in cash to close this charity account. — Yours faithfully,
