Thanks for helping to tidy up our town

Dear Sir, — A massive thank you to all the volunteers who attended the Town Tidy in Congleton on Saturday.
There were 56 volunteers in total, 25 of which where children from local Beavers, Cubs and Scout groups and we were greatly assisted by the partnership with Friends of Congleton Park and Plastic Free Congleton.
Did you know Congleton In Bloom are in the National In Bloom Finals this year?
This means we need as much help as we can get. As part of the National Spring Clean, Congleton In Bloom is hosting another Town Tidy on Saturday, 21st March, meeting at the Community Garden in Lawton Street at 10am.
The next event after that will be on Saturday, 4th April, at the Church House in Buglawton. If you cannot make these dates, why not spend a little time clearing the front of your property? If we all did this, Congleton would win and “Pride of Place” competition by being weed/ litter free.
Thanks again to those who came to the first community litter pick of the year, the Congleton In Bloom team hopes to see you again, along with some new faces on 21st March. — Yours faithfully,

DAVID BROWN
Chairman of Congleton In Bloom.
