To be a mother

A mother’s true mirth
The incredible moment of birth
How can this really be?
It’s happened I’m the new me
Gosh I’ve never felt like this!
Sheer life changing, complete bliss!
Cradled close and warm to my chest
I am so doubly blest
To feel touch kiss and hold
As tiny clingy fingers unfold
Sheer joy utterly breathtaking
Magical moments in the making
Beautiful bath time utter delight
Lovingly tucked in, kissed goodnight
A mother now, disturbed sleep
Tripping in and out to take a peep
My tiny miracle life-changing it’s true
But being a mother is complete joy of you.
