Trade deals not seen on side of Brexit bus
Dear Sir, — Michael Owen’s suggestion that “those who wish to remain in the EU should feel free to move into any one of its 27 member countries” is indicative of the divisive effect that the ridiculous EU referendum has had on this country.
Just 38% of the electorate voted to leave the EU, yet some of that number smugly believe that victory has made them sole custodians of this country, and the only ones allowed an opinion on its future welfare.
It’s galling that since the referendum 62% of the electorate are no longer regarded as “British people” – witness the constant reference to “the British people voted to leave the EU”.
