We can only lobby county councillors
Dear Sir, — I write with reference to the article in last week’s Chronicle “Public’s list of priorities for councillors after elections”.
It’s not widely appreciated I think, but it should be noted, that the main three causes of, absolutely justified, concern — road potholes, anti-social behaviour, and parking — are not under the direct control of either of the two newly elected councils ie Biddulph town and Staffordshire Moorlands.
All these matters fall under highways and policing and are controlled by Staffordshire County Council, which sits at Stafford.
