West Heath plan needs a re-think
Dear Sir, — The proposal that Cheshire East Council’s highways department is making for the Padgbury Lane speed reduction is woefully inadequate and lacks any active travel measure as part of the solution.
Cheshire East has an objective to be carbon neutral by 2025. The Government target is carbon neutral by 2050 and Congleton Town Council has accepted there is a climate emergency and yet the actual proposals from Cheshire East Highways do nothing to address this challenge.
Can I urge residents to object to this proposal and demand that Cheshire East Highways re-thinks this to include some sustainability features?
