Winner in Alsager could lead council
Dear Sir, — I have read with interest your editorials on the parties seeking votes in the local elections on 2nd May.
Although you only dedicated two-thirds of an editorial to the Conservatives, it is clear that it would be a travesty if such a shambolic administration facing eight police investigations were returned to power.
The other third of your editorial referred to the Greens. I have seen social media speculation that the Labour party did deals with the Greens and Lib Dems, to try and prevent the progressive vote being split.
On a personal note, I have repeatedly stated that climate change is the greatest challenge facing our generation. The local Labour manifesto (at ncla.uk) mirrors the national Labour industrial strategy in promoting reductions in carbon emissions.
