Would one house make a difference?
Dear Sir, — On return from a few days holiday, I was late picking up my Chronicle and was very interested to read about David Platt’s efforts to gain permission to build a new house in a green field.
What attracted my attention was the planning officers suggesting that modern technology could solve the problem; I wonder if this is the same cctv that landed three former Cheshire East council officers to be placed on garden leave at the cost of over £1m.
It was obviously not recording all the goings-on in Cheshire East Council between 2014-2016.
Would one house make much of a difference when every bit of green around Congleton is covered in new houses? — Yours faithfully,
NORMAN A WALLER
