Youngsters’ plight was not mentioned

Dear Sir, — I was a wee bit saddened to read Coun Ian Lawson’s reply to me in last week’s edition of the Chronicle. His rhetoric is fair game; but not once did he mention the plight of those youngsters and their families who use Horton Lodge and Kiplings.
This was the focus of my letter the week before.
Perhaps he could enlighten us all as to why he voted for such a cut to special educational needs provision without mentioning the fact that I see their turmoil as a bandwagon that I will jump on!
As for letter writing — oh the irony! Says the man who writes one almost every week of the year! — Yours faithfully,

JILL SALT
