Alsager Civic ruled out as base for town PCSOs
A request by police to use Alsager Civic as a base for PCSOs has been rejected as it was a “hub for recreational and community activities”.
The request was turned down by town councillors at meeting last Tuesday, even though they agreed that PCSOs needed a base in the centre of Alsager, so they could react quickly to incidents.
The minimum requirements to ensure a base was suitable for the officers would be secure cupboards, Wi-Fi, disabled access and the ability to hold meetings.
