Alsager safe under local plan, claims councillor
The local plan will protect Alsager from further major developments, a councillor has claimed after a resident raised concerns that changes to the town’s settlement boundary didn’t include Fanny’s Croft.
Coun Derek Hough told last Tuesday’s first Alsager Town Council meeting of the newly formed council: “Fanny’s Croft is in the greenbelt and the greenbelt will not be developed unless in exceptional circumstances.
“The local plan also gives that protection until 2030 now that some political parties don’t agree that the local plans should go through.
