Andes trek in Peru on horizon for student (15)

An Alsager School student has described his trip to Peru next year as the “opportunity of a life time”, as he continues his fundraising campaign.
James Baker, (15), of Alsager, was convinced a project in South America was for him after representatives from Camps International gave a talk at a school assembly last October.
While he acknowledged that it was an “incredible opportunity”, the 15-year-old isn’t treating it as a holiday and has to raise £4,500 by himself to cover the cost of the four-week adventure in July 2020.
So far he has raised £600, after various activities such as cleaning his grandma’s car and raking leaves for a local resident.
