Arson on school field

Police are searching for arsonists who started a fire in Alsager School’s playing fields.
It is the latest in a number of fires around the town in recent weeks.
Firefighters were called to the playing fields, off Church Road, shortly after 7pm on Sunday, where a number of metal containers had been removed from nearby bins before being set alight.
Crews then informed Alsager Police who launched an investigation.
Anyone with information about the arson attack is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101.
Other fires in recent weeks have been on Close Lane, where    a telegraph pole and trees on were torched, at Cranberry Moss and at Fanny’s Croft.
