Backlash concern if land is designated as car park
Alsager Town Council could face a backlash from other authorities if land on Cedar Avenue was designated as an official car park, a councillor has warned.
The patch of unsurfaced land is mainly used for parking by those attending St Gabriel’s Catholic Primary School, the local Scouts group and allotment holders.
There have been discussions previously about the land being adopted as a car park, although it would have to be maintained by the town council.
