Care home plan ‘would be a win-win solution’
Plans for a care home at the former Twyfords site in Alsager would bring “life back” to a redundant building and be a “win-win” solution for Alsager, an applicant has claimed.
Linley Point and Lagan Alsager have applied for planning permission to turn Linley Point, Lawton Road, from offices to a residential care home, involving only minor external alterations.
As reported recently in the Chronicle, the new proposal is for a change of use to accommodate a specialist dementia care facility with 70 en-suite bedrooms, dining areas, a cinema, a hairdresser, a laundry, a library, a cafe and outside terrace area.
