Fair rides safety reassurance as council criticised

Alsager Christmas Markets Committee has hit back at claims by Cheshire East Council that essential health and safety checks at the lights switch on event were not carried out.
The Chronicle recently reported that organisers said Cheshire East’s decision to charge for safety checks was “really disappointing” especially as the town’s lights switch on night, one of the most popular community events in Alsager’s calendar, was seen as one of the borough’s best.
