Fires amid latest reports of anti- social incidents
Police have increased patrols in Alsager, amid a spate of anti-social behaviour.
It comes after claims that a man was seen being dragged from a car by plain-clothed police officers.
A number of fires appear to have been started deliberately around the town in recent days as well.
An eye-witness said the man was pulled from his car at Sandbach Road South on Thursday.
They added: “We saw plain-clothed police officers smash a car window and drag a man out while we were sitting in Costa Coffee, but we don’t know why.”
Police have not been able to provide any information about this incident.
But a spokesman for Costa said police officers came into the premises after the incident, showed their ID and asked for a brush to clean up smashed glass.
