Labour councillor will fight general election
Alsager Labour town councillor Jo Dale has been selected to be the party’s candidate for the Congleton constituency at next month’s general election.
She said her early life experience of being raised on a council estate in Preston shaped her belief that that “everyone should be given the opportunity to succeed in life”.
Mrs Dale, who is aiming to unseat Congleton’s Conservative MP Fiona Bruce, was elected to represent Alsager East on the town council in May’s local elections.
