Meadowcroft listed for micro-surfacing by April next year
A resident has claimed it has taken three years for an “awful” Alsager road to be finally included in a road resurfacing progr-amme, but he “would believe it when he sees it”.
The full length of Meadowcroft is scheduled to be micro-surfaced and should be carried out by April 2020, according to Cheshire East Council’s maintenance programme for the current year.
The Chronicle previously reported that Neil Hursthouse, of Meadowcroft, and his neighbours had called on the authority to fully resurface it instead of what he claimed were “short-term fixes”.
Mr Hursthouse said: “It has been three years since we’ve been kicking off about the health and safety concerns on this road.
