More lorries could be used at quarry during the night
Plans for more HGVs to operate at night at White Moss Quarry have been opposed.
Quarry operator Land Recovery said it needed extra vehicle movements at night so it could complete working the quarry and because of the planned development of 350 homes at White Moss.
The sand and peat quarry, on Butterton Lane has been operated by Land Recovery since the 1970s.
The firm has applied for a variation of a condition of planning permission approved in September 2004 and submitted plans for 24-hour vehicle movements at White Moss.
