Pub extension draws criticism
Plans to extend a Rode Heath pub have been objected to by a local parish council due to the proposal being “out of keeping” with the rural look of the establishment.
The Broughton Arms, on Sandbach Road, Rode Heath, has submitted an application to Cheshire East Council for an outdoor eating area with a roof and heaters.
Part of the proposed area is an existing conservatory structure on the side of the building, which is used by patrons to dine in comfort.
