‘Read our lips’: residents object to BAE warehouses
“Read our lips” residents and councillors “strongly” objected to controversial plans to build five warehouses within BAE Systems’ Radway Green site.
The site is allocated in Cheshire East Council’s local plan for employment use.
The council’s Strategic Planning Board rejected the proposal for a 19,695sqm development off Crewe Road at a meeting last November.
The resubmitted plans show that the height of the five warehouses has been reduced. Warehouse two is up to 11.5m, while the other four are up to 13.5m high.
