Students welcome opening of Alsager School extension

Alsager School has unveiled its £2.7m extension, as its student intake grows.
The investment incl-udes 11 extra classr-ooms, two additional science labs, dedicated space for sixth formers, and a larger canteen.
The expansion means the Hassall Road school will be able to welcome an extra 30 students a year over the next five years to cope with the demand for places due to an increase of new housing in Alsager.
The new block has been officially named the Purcell building after the school’s chairman of governors, Lindsay Purcell.
