Two new litter bins for rubbish hotspots

A request for the town council to purchase two litter bins in rubbish “hotspots” has been approved.
Coun Sue Helliwell raised a member’s item for discussion at a recent Alsager Civic and Services Committee meeting, to determine whether Alsager Town Council would purchase the bins.
The recommendation was to spend £736 from the street furniture budget on two litter bins at a cost of £368 each.
One of the bins will be sited at the Hassall Road/Pikemere Road junction and the other by Cedar Avenue car park towards the public open space.
