Voting instructions were not clear, town council claims
Concerns that voters weren’t given “clear and concise” instructions at polling stations in Alsager, which led to “disenfranchised” votes, have been brushed off after Cheshire East Council claimed the arrangements were “appropriate and sufficient in the circumstances”.
Alsager Town Council had emailed Kath O’Dwyer, Cheshire East’s returning officer, about its concerns relating to voting instructions at polling stations.
Elections for both authorities took place on 2nd May.
