Wine bar plan applicant sets out his vision
The applicant who has submitted plans for a wine bar in Alsager’s former NatWest branch hopes the community will back the proposal and believes it will “breathe new life into an empty building”.
Andrew Dean has applied to Cheshire East Council for the change of use of the former bank, on Crewe Road.
The wine bar, which would create 12 jobs, would be run by Mr Dean’s son, Jackson.
Andrew Dean told the Chronicle: “The conversion will be a major investment and bring to Alsager a venue specialising in wines and cocktails, something that will be different from the traditional pub and something that at present locals have to travel out of the area to find.
