17% vacancy rate on Biddulph high street
A decision on a bid for up to £25m in funding for the future of high streets will be made at a meeting this week.
As reported on this week’s front page, it appears that Biddulph will not be included in a potential bid for part of the government’s £675m future high streets fund, with Cheadle set to be the only town that would receive funding if a bid was successful.
A report published ahead of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council’s Cabinet meeting on Tuesday supports this, recommending that councillors submit an expression of interest to the fund for regeneration and investment in Cheadle.
