Antibiotics available direct from pharmacy
Biddulph Pharmacy is hoping it will be able to relieve some of the “immense pressure” from local hospitals with the introduction of its new extended care service.
The late night pharmacy’s new service started on Monday, meaning its pharmacists now have the ability to give antibiotics to patients that would usually require a doctor’s prescription.
The medicines can be used for treating infections of the eyes, ears, throat and sinuses, as well as infected eczema and infected insect bites.
