Artisans’ gallery closure ‘terrible’
Biddulph’s Artisans’ Gallery is to close after only a year of trading, in what was called “a sad day” for the town.
The gallery opened on the High Street in December 2018 with the aim of giving artists somewhere to showcase their work, and to play a part in the town’s regeneration.
The Chronicle reported at the time how local artists Rita McDonald and Sian Williamson planned to allow people to rent studio and workshop spaces to put their art on display for visitors to enjoy and buy, with the hope of creating a vibrant creative space for Biddulph.
