Attempting to secure free school transport

Councillors will attempt to secure free school bus arrangements for students in the Biddulph area before paying pupils across Staffordshire are prevented from travelling on the vehicles due to “absolutely barmy” legislation.
After taking legal advice on the use of public service vehicles, Staffordshire County Council announced that pupils who had previously paid for seats on school buses would have to find alternate means of school transport after the October half-term.
