Biddulph not in bid for high street funding
Biddulph will not be included in a bid to access up to £25m in funding to support its high street, the district council’s chairman has said.
It appears that Cheadle will be the only town that Staffordshire Moorlands District Council will seek funding for, in a move that has been described as “a kick in the teeth” for Biddulph.
Last month, the Chronicle reported that central government was to hand out £675m to successful bidders for its Future High Streets Fund, which will be used to support long-term strategies for high streets and town centres across the country.
