Closure notice after complaints
Police officers in Newcastle-under-Lyme served a closure notice on a house in the town last week following concerns from local residents.
The property, on Newlands Close in Clayton, has been subject to a number of incidents involving drug dealing and associated anti-social behaviour in recent months.
Neighbourhood officer Todd Young, from Newcastle’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “We’ve received a number of complaints from residents and the local primary school about the people residing and visiting this address and it was having a negative impact on the local community.
