Council to call for better school bus provision

A motion is to be put forward asking Staffordshire County Council to support the introduction of new dedicated buses, after fare-paying students were left without any means of transport to and from school.
The authority will discuss the motion at a full council meeting today (Thursday), with deputy opposition leader Coun Charlotte Atkins hoping that the council will reaffirm its commitment to lobbying central government to review legislation surrounding public service vehicles.
