Council urged to ‘work hard’ for town investment
A bid for Government support to help high street regeneration, a scheme which Biddulph was excluded from, has been successful for Cheadle.
It has been announced that the nearby Moorlands town will become one of the first 14 across the country to benefit from bespoke guidance as part of the Government’s new High Streets Task Force pilot.
In 2018, local authorities were asked to submit expressions of interest for financial support from the Future High Streets Fund for towns they felt were in need of support.
