Councillor calls for MP to quit Northern Ireland role

A Biddulph councillor has said the town’s MP should resign as the Northern Ireland secretary in the wake of comments she made just days ahead of an announcement about whether prosecutions should be brought against British soldiers after Bloody Sunday.
Coun Jill Salt, Labour ward representative for Bidduph East, called for Karen Bradley to quit, as did relatives of those killed by security forces.
