‘Disbelief’ after destruction of flower displays
Biddulph in Bloom volunteers were left in “disbelief” after their floral displays were stolen or destroyed before the competition’s judges were due to visit yesterday (Wedn-esday).
It means there was little time to rectify the vandalism, first reported last Monday, which included the destruction of various planting beds around the town and the theft of shrubs planted at Biddulph Grange Country Park.
The volunteers are hoping it will not have hampered their chances of success.
