‘Evidence of rats’ at Kingsfield fly-tip site

A Biddulph woman has called on the district council to take action after a build-up of rubbish and fly-tipping resulted in “evidence of rats” congregating behi-nd her home.
The woman, who did not wish to be identified, pointed out an area behind Kingsfield Road that had become “dangerous” due to dumped mattresses, broken pieces of glass and wood, and even a possible rat infestation.
Although she claimed to have contacted Staffor-dshire Moorlands District Council on a number of occasions, after more than a month the debris appears to remain uncleared, leaving the woman with flies infesting her property.
