Expanding U3A moving to old medical centre
The new home of a group that offers educational opportunities for the over-50s will offer it the chance to increase membership and expand its operations.
Biddulph U3A, which has more than 600 members and continues to recruit more, has made the move to new dedicated headquarters based in Lund House, Lawton Street. After “lengthy” negotiations with the owner, the group has leased half of the building, the old medical centre.
As tribute to one of the senior partners of the medical practice based there it was decided to name the building Lund House, after the highly regarded late Dr Andrew Lund.
