‘Fantastic’ supporters of cancer charity thanked
A woman being treated for breast cancer has thanked fund-raisers for their “fantastic” support, after the latest milestone in a quest to raise £10,000 was reached.
Stephanie Motter-shead’s family and friends have accumulated almost £6,000 so far in aid of her chosen charity Breast Cancer Now, an organisation dedicated to funding research into the disease.
Their latest fundraiser, a charity football match at Biddulph High School last Sunday, saw plenty of supporters turn out to cheer on two teams made up of Mrs Mottershead’s friends and family.
The match was organised by Mrs Mottershead’s son, Tyler Brown, his PE teacher Chris Swift, and family friend Abby Dale, and raised £320.
