House building acceleration due to shortfall

A new action plan outlining how the number of houses across the Moorlands can be further increased is to be published after it was found that the district council has built only 68% of its required homes.
It was also revealed that since 2009/10, only 255 homes have been built in Biddulph, but as part of the council’s local plan and it’s supporting housing implementation strategy, up to 890 more new houses could be constructed in the town by 2033.
