Leek Samaritans put out request for volunteers
The Leek and District branch of the Samaritans has spoken of the importance of volunteers to the charity, and made an appeal to Biddulph residents for more people to help.
The Samaritans operates a phone-in service to people in need, with members of staff on call 24/7 to talk people through any concerns, worries or troubles that they may have.
Biddulph is covered by the Leek branch, where volunteers commit a few hours per week of the office on Queen Street, at varying times during the day or night.
