Minute-taker is appointed after clerk quits suddenly

A local parish council held an extraordinary meeting last month following the “public verbal resignation” of its clerk.
Brown Edge Parish Council met on 15th January — having to appoint a minute-taker for the meeting in the absence of the clerk John Bourne — and resolved that due to the confidentiality of the business to be discussed, the Press and public be excluded.
