No Evergreens until 2021

A local club has said it will not be meeting for the rest of the year.
Biddulph Moor Evergreen Club this week said that due to covid-19, it would “unfortunately” be unable to start meetings for the remainder of 2020.
The club, which normally meets at Biddulph Moor Village Hallo, said that all events and entertainment had had to be cancelled.
A spokesperson said: “The village hall has lots of restrictions and the guidelines have made it impossible for such a large club as ours to open again for this year.”
All current memberships will be carried forward to next year. Any money already paid for trips is returnable or can be held over for the future. Anyone who needs their money back should contact treasurer Eileen Phillips.
“We will keep members informed via the Chronicle as to when it will be safe to continue,” said the club.
The committee – chair Burt Phillips, Mrs Phillips and secretary Beryl Walton – sent best wishes to all members.
