Parents fail to show up for lessons on teens
A course for parents struggling to cope with the challenge of bringing up unruly teenagers attracted no attendees at its opening session last Thursday.
Tina Brough, behaviour support officer at Biddulph High School, which is hosting the weekly “Parenting Teenagers” courses, conceded that holding the event in the afternoon was probably the reason.
Behaviour, social media and even sexting are on the agenda of the free course, which is run by Staffordshire County Council and the Family Caring Trust, for anyone who may be struggling with the behaviour of their 11-18 year old, or finding any aspect of parenting teens to be a challenge.
