Plan to build 10 homes is thrown out at appeal
A developer’s planning appeal in relation to an application for 10 homes in Brown Lees has been refused, potentially bringing an end to a process that began almost two and a half years ago.
The appeal, made by Christopher Howle, was lodged following Staffordshire Moorlands District Council’s decision to throw out plans for 10 four-bedroom homes near Brook Street.
The original application was first submitted to the district council in November 2017, but was refused in March last year following objections from local residents and Biddulph Town Council.
Objections related to highways concerns and because the location was in the greenbelt.
