Sacked Cabinet MP’s return to backbench

Karen Bradley has said she will be “working hard” for her constituents in the Moorlands following her sacking as secretary of state for Northern Ireland.
The Staffordshire Moorlands MP has returned to the backbenches following new prime  minister Boris Johnson’s Cabinet reshuffle last Wednesday after a 19-month tenure as Northern Ireland secretary, and will be replaced by former Conservative chief whip Julian Smith.
