Staff will be told first if rapid response vehicle redeployed
The future of Biddulph’s rapid response vehicle remains unclear after local councillors feared “someone will die because a vehicle can’t get to them” if it is stationed elsewhere.
The town’s four-wheel drive rapid response vehicle is one of a number operated by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
There have been concerns that it may be relocated just before it is needed most in the winter.
A response from the ambulance service did not confirm whether or not it was considering relocating the vehicle.
However, a spokesperson for the service did state that its staff would first be informed before any changes were made.
