Stuffing their scarecrows ahead of carnival capers
Biddulph’s homemade scarecrows are once again ready to take centre stage, with this year’s competition now open for entries.
Now in its fourth year, the town’s annual scarecrow contest sees the town’s families, schools and businesses creating a range of weird and wonderful bird scarers based on the theme of each summer’s Biddulph Festival — this year’s having focussed on carnivals.
The competition, from 21st-27th October, is organised by the Biddulph Youth and Community Zone, and is open for entries until 18th October. Entry forms are available from the zone, Biddulph Town Hall and Biddulph Library.
