Tory town councillor will not stand in May election

Biddulph’s only Conservative town councillor has said he will not be standing in May’s local elections.
Coun Ian Lawson, who represents Biddulph North on the town council, as well as the county council and district council, will mark the end of his time as a town councillor following the elections, but will continue in his role with district and county councils until the end of his term.
